About this tool
If you select no columns, a row counts as a duplicate only when every column matches.
Removing duplicates keeps the first occurrence of each row. You can also output just the removed rows instead.
This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to our server.
When to use it
Useful for cleaning up a customer list or order data that has ended up with the same row entered more than once.
If only a specific column, such as a member ID or email address, should count as a match, select just that column.
To see exactly what would be removed before committing to it, choose "Removed rows only" to get just the rows that would be dropped.
How duplicates are judged
Column values are compared as plain text. Uppercase and lowercase, extra spaces and other variations are treated as different values, so rows that differ only in formatting may not be detected as duplicates.
FAQ
- Does this work with TSV (tab-separated) files?
- Yes. The delimiter (comma, tab, or semicolon) is detected automatically when the file loads.
