About this tool
Every color you pick is added to a list below, so you can grab several colors in a row (up to 12).
This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to our server.
When to use it
Useful for finding out the exact color code used in a logo, a photo, or a screenshot of a website.
Also useful for matching a color in a document or web page to a color that already appears in an image.
How to use
- Drop an image, or click to choose one. You can also paste a copied image.
- Click the spot on the image you want to pick. On desktop, a magnifier shows a zoomed-in view around your cursor.
- Copy the HEX, RGB, or HSL value of the picked color. Picked colors are listed below — click one to select it again.
About the picked color
The color is taken from exactly one pixel at the spot you click. In a photo with subtle gradients, the color can change with a small shift in position, so use the magnifier to check before picking. Saving an image as JPG can also shift colors slightly, so the result may differ a little from the original design color.
