About this tool
Choose how many winners to pick. "Draw again from the rest" leaves out earlier winners, so you can draw second and third prizes in turn.
Draws use your browser's secure random number generator, and the entries are never sent or stored anywhere.
This tool runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to our server.
When to use it
Useful for picking prize winners at a party or event, choosing giveaway winners, or deciding who takes on a task.
"Random order" works for presentation order, seating, or any time you need a fair order without drawing straws.
How to use
- Enter one name or number per line. You can also copy a column from Excel or Google Sheets and paste it in.
- To pick winners, enter how many and press "Draw". To put everyone in a random order, switch to "Random order".
- For second and third prizes, press "Draw again from the rest". Anyone who has already won is left out.
FAQ
- Is the draw fair?
- Yes. It uses your browser's secure random number generator (the kind used for cryptography), and every entry has the same chance of being picked.
- What happens if the same name is on two lines?
- It counts as two entries, like holding two tickets, so that name is twice as likely to win. To give everyone one chance, remove duplicate lines first with the Remove Duplicate Lines tool.
- Are the names I enter sent or stored anywhere?
- No. The draw happens in your browser, and everything is gone once you close the page.
