GB vs. GiB
A gigabyte (GB) is 1000³ bytes, while a gibibyte (GiB) is 1024³ bytes — 1 GB is about 0.93 GiB. Storage products are usually labeled in GB, while an operating system often shows a GiB value but still calls it "GB," which is why the same amount of storage can show different numbers.

- How accurate are the conversions?
- Units such as inches and pounds use internationally defined values (1 inch = 2.54 cm, 1 pound = 453.59237 g). Displayed results are rounded when there are many digits, to at most 8 decimal places.
