Splits a PDF into separate files — by page range, one page per file, or every fixed number of pages.
How to split
About this tool
Enter a range such as "1-3, 5, 8-10", or split one page at a time or every fixed number of pages instead.
When the result is more than one file, they are saved together in a ZIP.
This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to our server.
When to use it
Useful for pulling out a specific chapter or section from a long report using a page range.
Also useful for splitting a batch of scanned documents that were loaded as one file back into individual files, one page at a time.
And useful for breaking a large PDF into equal-sized chunks, for example when sharing a booklet or report in parts.

FAQ
- How do I write a page range?
- Separate items with commas and join a range with a hyphen, like "1-3, 5, 8-10". A range beyond the page count, or a start greater than its end, shows an error.
- Can I split a password-protected PDF?
- No, that is not supported. Please remove the password first, then load the file.
- What will the split files be named?
- The original file name with the page numbers it contains added, for example "document_p1-3.pdf".
